Board of Trustees Chairman of King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence receives US delegation

Manama, Apr. 25 (BNA): Board of Trustees Chairman of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received a US delegation from the Evangelical Leaders Group, headed by Joel Rosenberg, an analyst and expert in international media and political consultations and Editor-in-Chief of All Israel News and All Arab News magazines.
Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa hailed the delegation’s visit and reviewed with them the civilizational and historical aspects characterizing the Kingdom of Bahrain in terms of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all social components. He underlined the role of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in fostering the values of tolerance, brotherhood and openness on the other. He pointed out the Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration which was inaugurated at an international level as a methodical framework to anchor the unique Bahraini model in charting policies based on tolerance and humanitarian coexistence.
Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa provided an overview on the successful initiatives launched by the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence in concretizing the declaration and highlighting the royal approach. He also pointed out the centre’s launch of the King Hamad Chair in Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence at the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, and the King Hamad Faith in Leadership programme with the well-reputed Oxford University, in addition to the King Hamad Cyber-Peace Academy project in New York.
Mr. Joel Rosenberg and his accompanying delegation expressed appreciation of the centre’s activities to serve global peace and tolerance. He also praised the kingdom’s role in fostering coexistence and openness on the other.
The US delegation comprises US and Israeli businessmen and a crew of journalists and media persons.
The meeting was held in the presence of the centre’s Secretary General Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and other officials.
