BQA participates in SCQF conference

Manama, Mar. 11 (BNA): The Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) participated in the conference of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), held in Glasgow from February 22 to 23, under the theme "Linking the Learning Journey". Bahrain and Hong Kong were invited by the SCQF to present their experiences, which embodies BQA’s contributions to joint cooperation fields, and alignment with the Scottish Qualifications Framework. BQA Chief Executive, Dr Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahki, said that BQA’s representation of the kingdom at regional and global gathering is in line with the leadership’s vision to develop the education and training sector in the kingdom, expressing pride that BQA is one of the initiatives to develop education and training, and among the pioneering experiences in the field quality and qualification frameworks in the region and the Arab world. Director-General of the General Directorate of National Qualifications Framework (GDQ), Dr. Tariq Al Sindi, represented BQA at the conference. In his paper, he highlighted Bahrain’s experience in inaugurating and operating the National Qualifications Framework. The conference aimed to present the latest developments regarding the experience related to qualifications frameworks and their implementation on the ground, as well as to show the extent to which they are used by learners, educational and training institutions and employers.  The conference also presented success stories.
