Braille version of My Vision showcased at Abu Dhabi International Book Fair

Abu Dhabi, April 29, 2013 (WAM) - The Braille version of "My Vision", the book authored by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was placed yesterday at the current Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) by Mariam bint Mohammed Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs, to enable visually impaired individuals to benefit from the rich experiences and thoughts presented by Sheikh Mohamed to readers. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid paid the cost of printing the Braille edition of the book which gives a detailed inspiring account of the exceptional development of Dubai and the vision behind the outstanding accomplishments, that included transforming the UAE and the emirate from their role as a regional powerhouse to their new and advanced role as international economic and financial centres. In a special forward to the Braille version, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid urges the visually-impaired readers to seek excellence and innovation and to be proactive and diligent to contribute to the building the community alongside their peers. The warm welcome the book had received from these special readers prompted the Ministry of Social Affairs to distribute it in the UAE and abroad. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
