BRCS launches humanitarian training course

Manama, Mar. 21 (BNA): Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) has launched the latest edition educational programme titled "Certificate of Specialised Humanitarian Work Training Course" aimed to provide theoretically and practically qualified community members with all the necessary skills to fulfill the requirements of humanitarian relief work and capacity of the delivering effective prompt assistance commensurate with international standards. BRCS's Secretary-general Dr. Fawzi Amin said the course which will commence early May, also includes a training workshop on international humanitarian law. BRCS will also organise another edition in October. Dr. Amin expects about twenty volunteers will attend the programme who have satisfactorily passed its requirements, including the catastrophe readiness course recently hosted by the Qatari Red Crescent Society (QRCS), under the supervision of the relevant international organisations.
