Brunei Confers Royal Award to Petronas President, Exec Vice President

KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, has conferred the Darjah Paduka Seri Laila Jasa to PETRONAS president and chief executive officer Shamsul Azhar Abbas and executive vice president of Exploration & Production Business Wee Yiau Hin. The conferment of the award carrying the title “Dato Seri Laila Jasa” was held in Brunei last Sunday in conjunction with the Sultan’s 66th birthday. PETRONAS is represented in Brunei through its upstream subsidiary PETRONAS Carigali Brunei Ltd, the operator of the deepwater exploration Block CA2 and a partner in deepwater Block CA1. PETRONAS is evaluating other potential exploration and downstream opportunities in line with Brunei’s aspiration to further develop its oil and gas sector. -- BERNAMA
