Cambodian Embassy in Thailand opens for public mourning of late King Sihanouk
BANGKOK, October 17 (TNA) - The Cambodian Embassy to Thailand has been opened for the public to mourn late His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia.
The embassy in Bangkok has opened a main hall for public visits to convey their mourning messages in a farewell book to the late Cambodian monarch, who passed away from natural causes on October 15, 2012, at the age of 89.
The signing period was set from October 17-19, from 9:30am-noon and from 2-4 pm Thailand's time. Ambassadors and diplomatic personnel from several countries, as well as the general public and even monks have visited the Cambodian Embassy in the Thai capital for the mourning purpose so far.
The Cambodian Embassy in Bangkok has also lowered the Cambodian national flag at half mast at the moment to mourn the country's late King.
Authorities of Bangkok's Wang Thong Lang district, where the Cambodian Embassy is situated, have, meanwhile, sought for cooperation from the metropolitan police to provide conveniences for those visiting the Cambodian Embassy for mournings. (TNA)
