Capital governor participates in WCS Mayors Forum

Singapore, July 8 (BNA): Capital Governor, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, attended here yesterday the opening of the World Cities Summit Mayors Forum (WCS Mayors Forum). Themed "Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Embracing the Future through Innovation and Collaboration, "the event attracted more than 150 personalities, including senior officials, city leaders and governors from all over the world. The governor stressed that his participation in the forum is an opportunity to take advantage of the experiences of prominent world cities in building sustainable communities based on studying the best practices in urban development, as well as to be informed about modern ideas and innovative solutions to planning and managing cities. It is also within efforts to extend bridges of cooperation between the Capital Governorate and key cities worldwide in order to exchange the best practices that help create sustainable cities through enhancing the efficency of services, he said.
