Capital governor visits Sitra Central Market

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA): Folowing the Cabinet’s resolution to quickly revamp the Sitra Central Market, Capital Governor, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, today paid a field visit to the market. Capital Trustees Board Director-General, Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Capital Police Director-General, Brigadier Khalid Al-Dhawadi, and officials from the relevant ministries were also present. The governor was informed about the market’s needs, and the plans to revamp it in order to meet the needs of the Sitra citizens. Shaikh Hisham lauded the resolution of the Cabinet, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to revamp the market. The governor lauded HRH Premier’s constant follow-up on all issues of major concern to the citizens, as well as his keenness on removing all obstacles facing them. During the visit, Shaikh Hisham was informed about the remarks of the merchants and visitors about the market’s facilities and services which require maintenance. He was also informed about the plans of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to revamp the Sitra Market so as to be equipped with all facilities that serve vendors and shoppers.
