Chairperson of Qatar-Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group Highlights to QNA Historic, Strong Qatar-Algeria Ties

Doha, October 30 (QNA) - HE Shura Council Member and Chairperson of Qatar-Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Council Ali bin Said Al Khayareen stressed the depth of relations between the State of Qatar and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, hailing the ties as historic and consolidated.
Speaking exclusively to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), His Excellency hailed the endeavors of wise leaderships in the two sisterly nations to bolster the ties and elevate them to broader horizons via developing partnerships, particularly in trade and investment fields as well as efforts to coordinate positions regarding various regional and international issues.
Under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the State of Qatar exerts efforts to boost Arab solidarity, develop the joint Arab Action System and achieve pan-Arab integration to attain Arab nation's deserved prestige worldwide, His Excellency said. Hence, the State of Qatar's keenness to partake in all summits, conferences and meetings that achieve these goals and the Arab aspirations.
His Excellency also highlighted the growing bilateral parliamentary relations, saying that these powerful relations were affirmed during HE President of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune's reception of HE Shura Council Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim as part of His Excellency's visit to Doha in Feb.
During the meeting, Their Excellencies discussed a number of issues related to the bilateral relations between both countries and ways to develop and boost them, most notably those related to the joint parliamentary action.
HE the Shura Council Member highlighted a number of meetings between the Shura Council delegations and their Algerian counterparts in regional and international parliamentary events. This reflects the coordination in positions in a way that serves the issues of mutual concern for both countries and for Arab and Islamic worlds, Al Khayareen said.
The Qatar-Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group will definitely contribute to enhancing bilateral parliamentary work, the exchange of expertise between both countries in this field as well as elevating coordination regarding critical issues on the parliamentary events' agendas in a bid to unify positions and visions in various fields, His Excellency added.
His Excellency stressed his full confidence that the Arab League Council Summit due on Nov. 1-2 in Algeria will achieve its objectives, hailing Algeria's keenness to unify the Arab ranks in a way that serves the just Arab causes and achieve the Arab peoples' aspirations for development and peace.
