Chief IOM Mission Emphasizes Qatar's Major Partnership with UN Organizations

Doha, October 25 (QNA) - Chief of Mission of United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Qatar Iman Younis Ereiqat confirmed that the United Nations Day, which is celebrated annually in Qatar on Oct. 24, summarizes the lofty meanings that are consistent with the continuity of work for peace, protection of the weak, and the achievement of global goals for advocating human rights, as well as promoting gender equality and taking action for the global climate. In statements, Ereiqat told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the State of Qatar is a major and true partner with the United Nations organizations through adopting lofty humanitarian messages and issues, noting that the past period has witnessed the real efforts made by Qatar to build peace and support stability around the world. She said that holding the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in an Arab land for the first time sums up the message of the State of Qatar in support of peace, which adopts humanitarian positions and issues in various fields, in addition to its ability to encourage dialogue by bringing together the parties to build peace and support stability.
