Chief-of-Staff inspects BDF combat group

Riyadh, Mar. 19 (BNA): The BDF Chief-of-Staff Lt-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi today inspected the BDF combat group participating in the Gulf Shield Joint Drill 1. The military exercise is organized by Saudi Arabia’s ministry of defence in the Eastern Region, with the participation of 23 countries. The drill aims to prepare the largest military maneuvers in the region in terms of the number of participating forces and countries. It also includes diversity of expertise, types of armament, boosts the combat readiness of the participating countries, modernization of machinery and joint measures of the security and military forces, as well as bolsters the joint military and security integration and coordination.
