Child’s Wish Society hails Premier’s directives

Manama, Aug. 13 (BNA): A tribute was paid to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa for his directives to promote the Child Protection Centre. Child’s Wish Society Chairperson Manal Al-Awadhi hailed HRH the Premier’s keenness on promoting the conditions of children and ensuring their well-being. She paid tribute to HRH the Premier who issued directives during the August 8 Cabinet meeting to relevant ministries and competent authorities to review legislations so as to stipulate tougher and deterrent penalties in case children are subjected to abuse or exploitation. She hailed the Premier’s strenuous dedication to bringing up children in safe conditions which ensure them psychological and health stability in their lives, being the future of the nation and the cornerstone of development and progress. Al-Awadhi stressed the importance of ensuring children a favourable social and legal environment and protecting them from any abuse or exploitation, hailing the wise leadership for the strides achieved in this regard. "The Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the pioneering countries which passed a modern law on protecting children", she said, hailing the Premier for supporting Child’s Wish Society in its strenuous efforts to care for children suffering from cancer.
