Citizens aspirations top parliament priorities

Manama, May 31 (BNA): Speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mulla reiterated the council and its members commitment to working honestly, loyally to achieve the aspirations of the Kingdom of Bahrain's citizens. The Speaker asserted that persistent work comes with the context of the council's keenness on consolidating democratic practices in compliance with the Council's Internal Code and the Constitution. Speaking on occasion of the adjourning of the second session of the fourth legislative term, the Speaker said "I am glad to submit on behalf of all of you sincerest gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa the Supreme Commander for the huge, unlimited support to the council for the sake of serving the nation and its citizens under the blessed reforms and democratic process. He expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation of the effective, fruitful substantial cooperation on the part of the Government presided over by HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and the constant support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. Al Mulla reaffirmed the council's keenness on working honestly and faithfully to achieve the aspirations of the people, to ensure optimum future, and expressed all appreciation and acknowledgment of the outstanding positive role of national press, the General Secretariat's staff in supporting and developing parliamentary work, urging everyone to more work and performance, cohesiveness, synergy and integration, to serve homeland and its citizens, to achieve the highest interest of the State, so that the Kingdom of Bahrain remains, forever as it has always been the hope, work and performance.
