Civil Defence puts out fire in Juffair; no casualties reported

Manama, Aug. 6 (BNA): The Civil Defence put out a fire which broke out this evening at a hotel in the area of Juffair. The firefighters evacuated 55 people who were inside the hotel as a precautionary measure to ensure their safety. Civil Defence director-general said that seven fire engines and 30 officers and servicemen reached the site of the blaze within three minutes after alerting the operation room. In a statement , he said that the initial inquiry revealed that the fire broke out at the lift due to a short circuit. No human casualties were reported.
