Coastguard Commander takes part in GCC meeting

Manama, March 9 (BNA): Coastguard Commander Commodore Ala Abdullah Siyadi took part in the 25th meeting of the GCC border and coastguards which convened in Abu Dhabi. He lauded the directives of Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to boost GCC security cooperation. He also stressed the importance of the meeting in light of the fast-paced developments which require more coordination between the GCC member states. He pointed out the role of such meetings in working out an advanced maritime security system, praising cooperation between the GCC border and coastguards in exchanging security information and combating maritime crimes.
