College of Business and Financial Sciences, Royal University for Women sign memo with GARMCO

Manama, Mar. 1 (BNA): To support the mission of the Royal University for Women (RUW), the College of Business and Financial Sciences signed an MoU with Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill (GARMCO), the first and one of the largest downstream aluminium in the Middle East for rolling, cutting and fabricating aluminium. The purpose of the MoU is to support student learning and to contribute to the needs of the industry, economic development and growth of the country. RUW president, Prof. Mazin Jummah, stated that the university is always seeking to provide distinguished opportunities for its students and prepare them with the necessary skills to make them employable. Explaining that this agreement allows students to apply the theoretical aspect of working and develop their personal skills. Mr. Mohamed Issa, GM GARMCO, expressed the Company's pride in signing the agreement with the Royal University for Women. He explained that GARMCO recognizes the importance of preparing graduates and honing their capabilities. He also stressed the need to provide all possible opportunities to open the field of innovation in their work and acquire new skills to compete in the labour market. Dr. Hala Elias, Dean of the College of Business and Financial Sciences, emphasised that the college has moved beyond the traditional way of teaching by ensuring the best quality education environment through collaborating with industry and addressing their needs by involving students as part of their learning. This collaboration will help develop the necessary skills required by the industry. Dr. Elias mentioned that the college is working on developing collaborations in terms of problem-based learning and research partnerships with industry.
