Commander-in-chief receives OPV Middle East participants

Manama, Sep. 28 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received at the BDF's General Command today the navy commanders of brotherly countries, in the presence of the BDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi. They are participating in the fifth edition of the Offshore Patrol Vessels 2016 meeting (OPV Middle East 2016). The commander-in-chief praised the role of OPV Middle East 2016 in enhancing cooperation in the field of maritime security, as well as in exchanging expertise and coordination among friendly and brotherly countries in maritime navigation. A number of senior BDF officers attended.
