Commitment to implement national tourism strategy

Manama, Feb 28 (BNA): Acting CEO of Bahrain Authority for Tourism and Exhibitions (BATE) Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khlaifa has stressed commitment to implement Bahrain tourism strategy adopted by the Executive Committee chaired by HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minster to contribute to promoting national economy. BATE Acting CEO said that the development of the tourism sector depends on boosting four key elements, marketing and promotion, programmes and tourist destinations, arriving and entry and staying in the country. He added that these elements contribute to increasing the number of tourists visiting the country which consequently supporting national economy. He explained that the strategy targets beaches, islands and facilities development and the launch of tourist calendar to attract more tourists into the country.
