Communication network holds coordination meeting

Manama, Apr.17 (BNA): National Communication Centre (NCC) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad stressed the importance of highlighting Bahrain’s landmark achievements in all fields. He underlined the role of the national communication network in projecting the country’s success stories to the world through a civilized and innovative approach.
He underlined the importance of such an approach in promoting Bahrain’s presence in all arenas and bolstering its standing in the world. He said that the 5th coordination meeting of the government’s communication network was held at the Bahrain Fort Museum to update members on key projects and initiatives.
He pointed out that the meeting focused on elaborating adequate mechanisms to sort out institutional success stories and compile them in a database to ensure their documentation. He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for his support and directives, which, he said, represented a major catalyst for landmark national achievements and success stories.
Dr. Behzad expressed thanks to members of the government’s communication network, commending their dedicated efforts and constructive interaction. Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) director for culture and arts Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa addressed the session, stressing the role of the Government’s communication network.
BACA museums director Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa updated the network on the UNESCO World Heritage Committee which will hold its 42nd annual congress in Manama on June 24 - July 4.
Bahrain will chair the forthcoming global event, for the second time, in the presence of around 2000 experts representing different countries in the world. Government’s communication network, which convenes monthly, includes directors and communication officials from ministries and government departments. The panel sets the monthly communication strategy which highlights key events and projects, in line with the strategic goals aimed at achieving sustainable development in Bahrain.
