Complaint filed against engineers in crane collapse
BANGKOK, Sept 15 (TNA) - Bangkok’s Bang Rak District has filed a complaint against construction engineers, demanding compensation from the construction firm to pay for damages after a crane collapse in Soi Saladaeng 2 yesterday.
Bang Rak District chief said the crane was installed in the area where a six-storey building is being constructed by a construction firm since early this month.
The crane fell and knocked down 10 power poles while four cars were damaged and three people injured from the accident.
An adviser and engineering experts of the Engineering Institute of Thailand had inspected the scene of the accident and found that the installation of the crane may not meet required standards while the soil there was too soft because of flooding. (TNA)
