Concerted efforts urged to fast-track development

Manama, Apr. 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa called today for concerted efforts to overcome challenges and fast-track development. He warned of the dangers of sliding into division and factionalism because of differences in opinion. HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, members of the Representatives and Shura Councils and officials. He urged all Bahrainis to assume their responsibilities to meet the requirements of the current phase and achieve forecast goals. He called on members of the legislature to hold together and overcome differences which, he said, is the core of democracy to reach a consensus on the national interest. HRH the Prime Minister underscored the government's keenness to boost citizens' welfare despite all challenges, pointing out conspiracies undergone by Bahrain to undermine its unity and development. He stressed Bahrain's success to overcome those challenges, underlining the need to foster social cohesion. The Shura Council Chairman described HRH the Premier as the main guarantor of success of the parliamentary experience thanks to his support for cooperation between the executive and legislative branches and keenness to reach out to citizens' needs and cater for them.
