Cooperation to promote human rights discussed

Manama, Mar. 10 (BNA): President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Maria Khouri received the Interior Ministry’s Reform and Rehabilitation Director General Brigadier Abdulsalem Yusef Al Arifi and congratulated him on the royal trust in appointing him to his post, wishing him success. The two sides discussed issued of common interest and ways of boosting cooperation and exchanging experiences. The NIHR President lauded constructive cooperation between the Interior Ministry and NIHR to preserve human dignity and rights. Al Arifi hailed the efforts of NIHR to boost human rights and promote it as a culture in the community. He pointed out that the General Directorate of Reform and Rehabilitation will witness more development in its services for inmates in line with the directives of Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa in this respect.
