Crown Prince emphasises Bahrain-UK trade, services collaboration

Manama, Mar 23 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met the Lord Mayor of the City of London, the Right Honourable Jeffrey Mountevans, at Riffa Palace. During the meeting, the Crown Prince stressed that Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing trade relations with international partners is a key pillar of the Kingdom’s sustainable development efforts, which prioritize citizens’ living standards and opportunities for all. The Crown Prince also highlighted that the historic and strong bilateral trade relations that exist between Bahrain and the United Kingdom are built upon the foundations of increasing prosperity and expanding opportunities for the two countries’ citizens. Speaking about the existing strategic links with the UK that stretch back over two centuries, the Crown Prince emphasised Bahrain’s interest in further strengthening collaboration across the energy, logistics, and tourism sectors. The Crown Prince added that Bahrain possesses advanced finance and banking regulations, and that its strategic location in the thriving core of the Middle East market presents significant potential for future financial sector-related collaboration. The Crown Prince concluded by welcoming the Lord Mayor to Bahrain, and emphasised that Bahrain and the UK will continue to build on their deep-rooted ties to foster investment opportunities that benefit both nations.
