Cultural infrastructure projects discussed

Manama, Apr. 25 (BNA): Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) has met Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam Abdullah Khalaf. The two sides discussed the (Pearl Road: a witness to an Island’s economy) project launched by BACA under the auspices of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. They also discussed the cultural infrastructure in Muharraq the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018 and Manama as an historic city of peaceful coexistence seeking to be included in UNESCO’s global heritage list. It is worth mentioning that the Kingdom is celebrating the 100th anniversary of establishment of municipal work in Bahrain. The meeting discussed various projects throughout the country that boost Bahrain’s image regionally and internationally.
