Culture Minister Participates in ISESCO Extraordinary Virtual Conference

Rabat, Jun 17, 2020, SPA -- Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Culture, participated today in the Extraordinary Virtual Conference of Culture Ministers of ICESCO Member States which was held under the theme 'Sustainability of Cultural Action in the Face of Crises (Covid-19)'. Prince Badr delivered a speech during the Conference in which he stressed that culture, awareness and solidarity are powerful in mitigating the effects of COVID-19 pandemic, commending the early precautionary measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to protect against COVID-19, and describing these measures as representing the true meaning of the concept of 'Human Lives Come First' and reflecting the true principles of Islam. The Minister of Culture wished that the Conference will be an opportunity to cooperate on overcoming challenges and enhance the cultural activity to achieve the development goals. --SPA
