'Current challenges require concerted efforts'

Manama, Feb. 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, at the Gudaibiya Palace today. The two leaders reviewed ways to push the development process forward through opening up new horizons of regional and international cooperation. HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince asserted the importance of solidarity among countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in overcoming the multi-faced challenges currently faced by the region, particularly at the economic level. They pointed out that the government would continue adopting initiatives that ensure taking optimum advantage of the existing resources to maintain the pace of the development process and fulfil the citizens' aspirations during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's prosperous era. The nature of the current phase and the challenges it is witnessing require exerting collective efforts, harnessing all potentials and making optimum use of the resources to consolidate the kingdom's status and preserve its security, stability and leading role in the region, they said.
