Curtain falls on Bahrain Summer Festival

Manama, Aug. 6 (BNA): The curtain fell on the 2016 edition of the Bahrain Summer Festival. The month-long recreational event which opened early last month was held under the theme "Bahrain Summer Your Destination". The festival attracted more than 80,000 people who flocked to Cultural hall as well Nakhool Tent at the Bahrain National Museum. The Bahrain Culture for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) hosted this evening a ceremony signaling the end of the event-packed festival. The event was attended by BACA President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, festival’s sponsors, members of the culture community and the festival mascots Nakhool and Nakhoola.The Nakhool Tent will remain open to families and children on Sunday, from 16:00 to 21:00. The festival comes as part of a wider strategic initiative spearheaded by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) to Boost Bahrain’s position as a regional cultural tourism hub. BACA President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa extended thanks to all the sponsors of the festival, citing embassies, companies and media institutions.
