Customs Affairs thanked for easing process

Manama, June 12 (BNA): Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa received today Manager of Mondelez Bahrain for food and beverage Mohammed Shalabi who expressed thanks and appreciation to the Customs Affairs for steps taken to process paperwork of trucks via King Fahad Causeway. He said that such steps have helped in the achievements of the company’s goals as it succeeded in saving $ 2 million of the shipment cost because of the fast processing. The processing of paperwork is carried out by the Land Exits Customs Directorate through the follow up of the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister and coordination of the Economic Development Board. The president asserted the importance of updating the customs processes on regular basis to support the economy and meet international security and customs development. (MOI)
