Customs cooperation discussed

Manama, July 2 (BNA): Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa received a delegation of the Ajman Port and Customs Department led by Chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi. The visit targets boosting joint action among GCC customs departments and exchanging expertise in the interest of common interest. A visual presentation of the latest customs electronic programmes was given, including the pre-clearance system for trucks travelling across the King Fahad Causeway, as well as the electronic clearance system. Main achievements of the Customs’ Risk Management Department were also presented. The delegation was given a tour of the Khalifa bin Salman Port and was updated on the workflow and procedures followed there.
