Deputy King highlights opportunities for private sector in growing Bahrain-China relationship

Manama, Sep. 5 (BNA): The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today received an official Chinese business delegation led by the Mayor of Shenzhen, His Excellency Xu Qin, at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting included discussions on shared development goals and potential investment opportunities between Bahrain and China. Speaking on the occasion, His Royal Highness highlighted that increasing commercial and investment opportunities is a crucial part of strengthening the private sector’s role in both countries. His Royal Highness went on to stress that transforming the private sector’s role as a driver of growth is a key component of Bahrain’s ongoing diversification efforts. He added that Bahrain has and continues to increase competitiveness across sectors, a principle that has helped attract international investment to the country and allowed it to thrive. Speaking on the growing ties between Bahrain and countries across Asia, His Royal Highness noted the important role played by trade and development agreements in enhancing relationships. His Royal Highness also highlighted the series of high-level visits between Bahrain and China which had helped strengthen cooperation and collaboration across various sectors. His Royal Highness concluded by welcoming the Mayor and the accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, remarking that the steady growth of Bahrain-Chinese relations demonstrates both countries’ commitment to shared strategic goals and interests.
