Deputy PM praises CRPEP role

Manama, July 1 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has confirmed that the Council for Regulating Professional Engineering Practice (CRPEP) was established as a guarantor to implement the provisions of Law 51/2014 regarding the regulation of the engineering professions and its executive regulations. Shaikh Khalid received Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, Minister of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning, who presented to him the chairman and the members of the CRPEP a copy of the council’s annual report for 2017 and a copy of the report for the first quarter of this year. The deputy premier welcomed the efforts exercised by the council, its chairman and board members to complete the structural and organizational frameworks that reinforce the principles of governance in their management of the council. He also called to benefit from the expertise of the competencies of retired engineers to provide consultancy and advice for localization of technology and engineering skills.
