Deputy Premier receives Arab League chief

Manama, Aug. 29 (BNA): Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, received here today the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Abul Gheit, who is currently on a visit the kingdom. The deputy premier affirmed the role of the Arab League in enhancing joint Arab cooperation, lauding the crucial role to be played by Mr. Abul Gheit in activating the pan-Arab organisation’s role in strengthening Arab solidarity. The Arab League Chief thanked HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak for the audience, lauding Bahrain’s role and contributions to consolidating joint Arab action, as well as its support of the Arab League’s efforts in coordinating between Arab states regarding just Arab causes. The deputy premier hosted a lunch banquet in honour of the Arab League Secretary-General. Foreign Affairs Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Cabinet Affairs Minister, Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa, Advisor to HM the King for Media Affairs, Nabil Al-Hamar, and senior state officials were also present.
