Deputy premier receives Czech minister

Manama, Jan. 23 (BNA): Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace the Czech Transport Minister Dan Tok, currently on a visit to the kingdom to attend the fourth edition of the Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS 2016). The deputy premier welcomed the Czech minister and wished him a happy stay in the kingdom. He affirmed Bahrain’s keenness on enhancing its cooperation with the Czech Republic in various fields, especially air transport and services which, he said, will be further consolidated with the signing of an agreement on the sidelines of BIAS 2016. Shaikh Khalid stressed the importance of building up more trade and economic partnerships that benefit the two friendly peoples. He also reviewed with the Czech minister a number of strategic projects in the transportation sector, including the expansion of the Bahrain International Airport, the new airport and the GCC railway. The Czech minister lauded the warm welcome accorded to him in Bahrain, praising the advanced level of the BIAS 2016. He expressed his country’s interest in bolstering its relations with the Kingdom.
