Deputy premier receives IAPB regional office chairman

Manama, May 8 (BNA): Deputy Premier HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the member of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of Eastern Mediterranean Office of the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, currently on visit to the kingdom to take part in the 13th International Congress of the Middle East-Africa Council of Ophthalmology (MEACO), held the auspices of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. The deputy premier lauded the solid fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relations, praising the ever-progressing cooperation between the two kingdoms at the bilateral level or through the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He commended the role played by HRH Prince Abdulaziz in combating blindness and visual disability, and praised the services he provides through national and international ophthalmology institutions, and through his chairmanship of the Regional Office of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).
