Deputy premier receives journalist

Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): Deputy Premier HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa here today the Head of the Sports Section at Al-Bilad newspaper, Ahmed Kareem, following his winning the "Golden Star" for the Best Journalist in the Gulf during the Congress of the Gulf Sport Media Association, held recently in Muscat, Oman. The deputy premier lauded Ahmed Kareem's articles and visions, calling for the need to encourage youth journalists. He congratulated Ahmed Kareem for winning the prestigious GCC award, which, he said, reflects the distinguished status of Al-Bilad newspaper, in particular, and the Bahraini Press, in general, wishing him further success. Journalist Ahmed Kareem expressed sincere thanks to the deputy premier for his support to columnists and journalists, stressing that the audience will motivate him to exert more efforts.
