Deputy Premier receives US ambassador

Manama, Mar. 6 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received today newly-appointed US Ambassador to Bahrain Justin Siberell. He welcomed him, wishing him a good stay in Bahrain and success in performing his diplomatic duties to further bolster relations of about 120 years between the two friendly countries. The Deputy Premier praised the efforts of the USA and its role, alongside brotherly and friendly countries, in maintaining regional security and stability. He also underlined the need for joint cooperation to counter terrorism which is considered a grave challenge that requires international coordination to confront it. The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed Bahrain’s encouragement to investors from both countries, stressing that Bahrain welcomes the American companies to take the kingdom as a home for their regional operations. The US ambassador expressed thanks and respect to Bahrain’s leadership, government and people for the gracious welcome, stressing keenness on further boosting bilateral relations and cooperation regarding issues of common interest.
