DPRK Championships Closes

Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- The DPRK Championships closed with due ceremony at the Basketball Gymnasium in Chongchun Street on Wednesday. Men and women players of the Defense Sports Team of the Korean People's Army renewed national records in various detailed events of shooting. The April 25 Sports Team won in men's and women's basketball and volleyball events. Present at the closing ceremony were Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea who is chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, and officials concerned. Trophy cups and medals went to the successful teams and players and those who renewed national records. -0-
