Drug smuggling attempt foiled

Manama, May 13 (BNA): The anti-drug squad arrested an Asian who attempted to smuggle 62 capsules of heroin worth BD50,000 in his intestines. The General Director of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science said that the suspect had been caught by the Anti-narcotic Directorate following a tip-off. The capsules of heroin were discovered on x-raying the man at the hospital. The suspect was first searched along with his luggage on his arrival but nothing was found.
