Dubai Customs to allow duty-free goods for people with disabilities

Dubai (WAM): Dubai Customs has announced that it will allow the duty-free import of a range of items for people with disabilities, under the terms of the Cabinet decision in implementation of the initiative of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The decision is aimed at easing the burdens that fall on their shoulders, based on the decision of the Cabinet. Dubai Customs said that it will allow the duty-free importation of eight types of goods (including educational materials, medical instruments, mobility vehicles and ancillary equipment), which are necessary for people with special needs. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director-General of Dubai Customs, said that the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to allow duty-free goods for people with disabilities reflects the extent of Sheikh Mohammed's keenness to provide the best levels of care for humanity. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
