Earthquake Jolts Western Southeast Maluku

Jakarta, Oct 14 (Antara) - An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale jolted Western Southeast Maluku District, Maluku Province, Tuesday at 5:05 am Western Indonesian Standard Time (WIB). The quake`s epicenter was located at 6.81 degrees southern latitude, and 129.86 degrees eastern longitude, some 189 km northwest of Western Southeast Maluku, and at a depth of 176 km, the National Meteorological, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said here, Tuesday. The tremor did not have potential to trigger a tsunami.
