Efforts to boost women's empowerment highlighted

Manama, July 31 (BNA): Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams, during an Equal Opportunities Committee meeting, in the presence of a delegation from the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), stressed BIPA's efforts to qualify Bahraini women to take a significant part in the development process in Bahrain in line with the royal reforms. Dr. Shams said that BIPA works in conformity with the women's empowerment strategy and directives of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and SCW President. He praised the SCW efforts in the empowerment of women in the field of sustainable development, honing their skills and enabling them to work alongside men in the nation-building process. He affirmed that equal opportunities principles are followed in all areas, including recruitment, training, promotion and ensuring that working women's needs are met.
