Egyptian Prime Minister receives Bahrain’s Ambassador

Manama, July 15 (BNA): The Ambassador of Bahrain to Egypt, Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League and Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps in Cairo, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, conveyed a written letter from His Royal Highness the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to the Prime Minister and Minister of Housing and Urban Utilities of Egypt, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, regarding the brotherly relations between the two countries. This came while the Egyptian Prime Minister received the Bahraini ambassador in the Cabinet’s headquarters. The ambassador extended Bahrain’s greetings to Dr. Madbouly on earning the trust of the Egyptian President, Abdulfattah Al-Sisi, and being appointed as the new Prime Minister. They discussed ways to develop the relations, cooperation in various fields, and views on the latest developments in the region. Shaikh Rashid affirmed the support of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to all measures taken by Egypt to maintain peace and stability and for its economic reforms. The ambassador went on to value the solid stances of Egypt towards the security of the Kingdom and in rejecting all attempts to interfere in the Bahrain’s internal affairs. He also highlighted the development of Bahraini-Egyptian partnership under the support of the two countries’ leaderships, noting the agreements and memorandums of cooperation that were signed between the two countries to achieve common interests. He noted that there is an aspired cooperation in the fields of energy, entrepreneurship and technical and financial services, as part of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and Egypt Vision 2030, to achieve sustainable and comprehensive development. The Egyptian Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s support to the economic development of Egypt and its war against terrorism. He also asserted Egypt’s firm rejection of any external interferences that aim at destabilising the Kingdom. Dr. Madbouly valued the keenness of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to reinforce relations of cooperation. He also praised the pioneering achievements Bahrain’s government which gained international recognition.
