Eid Al-Adha festivities to boost family tourism

Manama, Sep. 10 (BNA): Director of Tourism Marketing and Promotions at the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Yussef Al-Khan, has affirmed that the Eid Al-Adha festivities for this year are different from those of last year.
He said that BTEA’s tourism plan had focused on family tourism in order to cater to the recreational needs of all families.
In a statement to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Al-Khan added that BTEA had started implementing its annual plan aimed at meeting the expectations of all members of Bahraini, GCC and resident families through providing them with entertainment opportunities on occasions throughout the year.
He indicated that BTEA had already starting holding Eid Al-Adha festivities through two programmes at City Centre Mall. Including six daily shows held between 16:00 and 22:00, the programmes will continue until September 16, he said, adding that the events allow grown-ups to shop while their children enjoy entertaining shows.
He pointed out that the "Eid Surprises at Bab Al-Bahrain" event would be held during Eid Al-Adha for three days from 18:00 to 22:00. The event features contests and varied shows that will attract Bahraini families, as well as residents and visitors.
Al-Khan added that BTEA’s events would cover the National Days, the opening of the "Manama as Capital of GCC Tourism" and many others throughout the year.
