Eight wounded in car bomb attack in Thai deep South

NARATHIWAT (THAILAND), July 20 (TNA) - Local police reported that eight people were wounded in a car bomb attack at a computer company in Su-ngai Kolok District of Thailand's southernmost Narathiwat Province on Friday. The police said that firefighters took more than three hours to bring the situation under control, as the car bomb blast had caused a fire which engulfed the targeted company and nearby buildings. Police investigators found that suspected insurgents parked a pick-up truck in front of the computer company about 6am and when a police patrol car was passing the targeted building, the bomb was detonated, but the patrol police were safe. The injured include family members of the computer company’s owner and passing-by people, who were rushed to nearby Sungai Kolok Hospital. (TNA)
