Electricity minister meets citizens

Manama, Aug. 2 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza met a number of citizens to listen to their comments and suggestions regarding power and water supplies. Dr. Mirza said such comments and suggestions were always welcome and said anyone could come to his office at any time in this context. This, he said, was according to the directives of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who had always emphasized the importance of an Open Doors Policy for all citizens. He said direct communication with the people and to listen to their complaints were a key to the Electricity and Water Authority’s (EWA) providing top class and quality services. Dr. Mirza said such a dialogue would also help improve services wherever needed. The citizens, on their part, thanked the minister and praised the hospitality and honour they had received. They praised the EWA's Open Doors Policy saying they felt involved in it's functioning. The minister said such meetings were an on-going process and would be repeated periodically.
