Electricity minister receives Lebanese envoy

Manama, Apr. 18 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Lebanese Ambassador to Bahrain Dr. Milad Namour and praised the strong ties between the two countries. The minister reviewed key projects implemented by the Electricity and Water Authority and the Sustainable Energy Unit as part of the National Plan for Energy Efficiency and the National Renewable Energy Plan. He also spoke of the project to set up a 100-megawatt solar power plant and investment opportunities available to Lebanese companies. The ambassador praised Bahrain’s progress in the electricity, water and renewable energy sectors. He expressed Lebanese companies interest to participate in these projects according to available opportunities and activate further cooperation in these fields.
