Emirati film "Feeding 500" to participate in 19th Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival

Abu Dhabi: The Emirati film, "Feeding 500", has been chosen for official participation in the 19th "Encounters" Short Film and Animation Festival in the British city of Bristol from the 17th to the 22nd September, 2013. This new film, directed by UAE national Rafed Al Harthi, is the first Emirati film ever to participate in the illustrious Encounters Festival. It is also the only Arab film out of 2372 international films participating in the event. Encounters is one of the best-known showcases and meeting points for emerging talent, and is the leading UK gateway to the world's most prestigious short film and animation awards. The festival presents a rare and excellent opportunity for industry and creatives alike to meet new people, benefit from peer-to-peer exchanges, and develop new collaborations. The film looks at how humans make sacrifices for others by asking the question, "How long would you feed a bunch of stray cats?" For Sediq, it has been 15 years.
