Emirati students arrive in Houston for space training

Abu Dhabi, July 2, 2012 (WAM) - A total of 25 Emirati students arrived in Houston on Saturday to participate in a space science training programme. The students from the Institute of Applied Technology, aged between 12 and 18, will learn about rocket design and the launching process. Engineer Hussain Al Ansari, Chief Executive of Space Adventures, a company that organised the training programme, told Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the students will also undergo training in astronaut duties and get the chance to meet and speak with a number of experts in the field. – Gulf News
