Energy minister receives BES chairman

Manama, Mar.6 (BNA): Energy Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received here today received here today Chairman of Bahraini Economic Society (BES) Jaffar Al Sayegh, accompanied by Deputy Chairman Abdulrazaq Zain Al Abdeen, in the presence of National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) Secretary-General Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Sharyan. The minister lauded the association's role and positive contribution to various institutions of the national economy and participation in activities aimed at driving the economic development in Bahrain. The Minister was informed by Al Sayegh about BES activities and events, which include the preparations for its third conference entitled "Future of the GCC economies in the light of falling oil prices," which will be held in May 25-26 and will attract economic specialists and experts, representatives of local and regional economic institutions and international organisations. Al Sayegh expressed thanks and appreciation to the minister and lauded the programmes and developmental projects carried out by NOGA, which supports and the national economy.
