Energy minister receives corporate director

Manama, Feb. 24 (BNA): Energy Minister Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza today received the Director of Conferences of Messe Frankfurt Middle East Company, Barth de Ridder, in the presence of Electricity and Water Authority (EWA)'s Strategies and Planning general director Ali Abdeljabbar Al Sawad and Bahrain National Gas Company (Bangas) Administrative and Financial Affairs general director Mohammed Al Hosani. The minister welcomed the company's choice of Bahrain to convene the upcoming Infrastructure Security Conference in view of the Kingdom's attractive environment for hosting international conferences and exhibitions, citing the government's facilitations for such conferences. De Ridder gave a detailed presentation to the minister about the conference preparations and programme, list of speakers, and other relevant logistic and organizational matters. He expressed his gratitude to the minister for the good reception and discussion of various matters related to the upcoming conference, praising the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), Bahrain's National Gas Company (Bangas) and the minister for their support. The conference will take place on April 18-19, organized by the UAE-based subsidiary of Messe Frankfurt GmbH to discuss trends, challenges and innovative solutions in the field of energy as well as key issues of security and safety in the energy sector.
